Hannington O. Ochieng is a holder of MSc. degree in Quantitative Research Methods from Maseno University and B.Sc. degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) in Kenya. Hannington is a Research Scientist (Statistics) at Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organization, on secondment to the State Department for Crop Development and Agricultural Research. He is actively involved in developing agricultural policy reforms, developing research protocols, designing and implementing trials, supervising data collection, data management and processing, and providing statistical research-related duties. Hannington previously worked with Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS) program under the SAMPLES (Standard Assessment of Mitigation Potential and Livelihoods in Smallholder Systems) project as a Research Assistant and with the African Maths Initiative as a Volunteer. Hannington is knowledgeable in several statistical packages (including Stata, Ms Excel, R, Cytoscape and CSpro) and mathematical packages (Sage, python, Mathematica). |
